Stoas looks beyond
disciplines. That is why we can provide solutions linking business
and learning processes. Quality, co-operation, practical orientation
and continuity are key words. In the Netherlands Stoas has four
offices, with a further twelve offices, agencies and project bureaus
in other countries. Stoas is ISO 9001 certified.
Stoas Research
Stoas Research is a group of 25 scientists, conducting applied
research in the field of (the interface between) employment and
education, learning and training. Stoas Research offers effective
socio-economic research, which analyses the operation of the labour
market and the relevant aspects of competence development and
innovation. It emphasises competence management as a Life Long
Learning process for organisations. Stoas Research also offers
educational research for the design of vocational and in-house
training.
Stoas Research also conducts educational research. Our activities
are focussed on education and knowledge policies. Furthermore
research for the design of vocational and in-house training is
offered. Main interests are the effects of those policies, educational
design and learning processes, organisational issues and curriculum
design of VET.
Among Stoas Research clients are government, education institutions,
sector and branch organisations and private enterprises. We consider
the educational sector and agro-food sector as our home markets
although other sectors are increasingly utilising our research
expertise. Our research projects are also executed within European
programs with partners from other member states. We apply our
research expertise to projects world-wide. Through research Stoas
is continually gaining more knowledge of knowledge development
and the working environment of our clients. Research also lays
the foundation for many development paths. Collaboration in-house
with other Stoas expertise groups expands the researchers' knowledge
of our clients working environment.
